The City Council of the City of Kirksville, Missouri, met in a Special Session on Monday, April 17, 2006, at 12:00 noon in the City Hall Council Chambers.

ACTION PRESENTATIONS

Outdoor Pool Water Heater Bid

Councilmember Crist moved to approve a bid from David Jacobs HVAC in the amount of $27,425; seconded by Councilmember McCord.

City Manager Macomber reported that two bids were received.  The work will be completed in time for the pool opening on Memorial Day.

The motion carried by the following vote:  Mayor Rowe, aye; Councilmembers: Crist, aye; McCord, aye.  Nays, none.

Buddy Bass Fishing Tournament

Councilmember McCord moved to approve the use of Forest Lake for the Buddy Bass N’Kids fishing tournament on May 6, and allowing 90hp motors at idle speed not to exceed 10 mph between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.; seconded by Councilmember Crist.  The motion carried by the following vote:  Mayor Rowe, aye; Councilmembers: Crist, aye; McCord, aye.  Nays, none.

Other Items – Future Council Meeting

City Manager Macomber announced there will be a special Council meeting on April 26 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a Study Session in the Council Chambers.  The Special meeting is being called to consider an ordinance regarding the Telecommunications Tax rate.

There being no further business to come before the Council, Councilmember Crist moved to adjourn; seconded by Councilmember  McCord. The motion carried by the following vote:  Mayor Rowe, aye; Councilmembers: Crist, aye; McCord, aye.  Nays, none.

Mayor Rowe adjourned the meeting at 12:09 p.m.
