The Codes Division is broken into two subsections - plan review and inspection services.
Plan reviews typically include site and subdivision plans, public and private water supplies, building plans to include architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, fire protection, detection and suppression system.
Inspection services typically include site inspection during construction and/or remodeling, certificate of occupancy to insure that the structure meets and/or exceeds occupancy requirements, complaint received inspections, re-inspection of structures and properties that fail initial inspection, sub-standard or vacant building inspections targeted for demolition.
Codes & Ordinances:
Currently this department utilizes the latest version of the International Building Codes and International Fire Codes. In addition, there are various City Ordinances relating to trash, weeds, nuisances, fireworks, etc.
