TENNIS INSTRUCTORS

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The City of Kirksville is accepting applications for Administrative Assistant.  Duties include a variety of routine and complex clerical, secretarial and administrative work providing support to the command staff of the Kirksville Police Department.  The successful applicant must be a self-started, organized and proficient in the use of data processing software.  To apply please contact the Missouri Career Center office located at 2105 E. Communications Operator

DEPUTY COURT CLERK

The City of Kirksville is accepting applications for Deputy Court Clerk.  Duties include routine clerical and computer data entry requiring accuracy and efficiency and attention to detail.  Position requires a minimum High School Diploma or GED and two years related experience.  Starting salary $10.46 per hour plus excellent benefits.  Hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. SEASONAL PARK MAINTENANCE WORKERS

The City of Kirksville is accepting applications for seasonal park maintenance workers.  Work will consist of mowing; weed removal, cleaning restrooms, trash collection and general park maintenance.  Hours and days of work will vary.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must have a valid driver's license. ADMISSION/CONCESSION CLERK -- $6.65 PER HOUR

Duties include admission/concession service of patrons to the Aquatic Center and/or North Park concession stand.  Applicants must have a friendly, outgoing personality and be able to add, subtract and make correct change, assist in maintaining a daily cash balance and balancing cash on hand against receipts, assists in preparing and balancing deposits, and maintain a clean working area.  Interested persons may contact the Missouri Career Center, 2105 E. LIFEGUARD -- $6.65 PER HOUR

Duties include monitoring the use of the swimming pool; enforce safety rules, patrols the swimming pool and aquatics facility, assist in implementing various aquatics competitions throughout the year.  Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including answering the phone, running errands, collecting fees, helping set up for classes, events, cleaning locker rooms and restrooms and facility, assist in the maintenance of the swimming pools, monitor and maintain pool filtration system, monitor pool water chemistry through testing of water samples and adjust chemical treatment to maintain standards.  Responds to public inquiries about aquatic programs.  Required certifications include Advanced Lifesaving, CPR and First Aid.  Training is available from the Aquatic Center staff.  Hours and workdays vary and include holidays, weekdays and weekends.  Minimum age 16, recent High School or College transcript required.  Interested persons may contact the Missouri Career Center, 2105 E. WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTORS -- $6.75 PER HOUR

Teaches swimming lessons according to various aged patrons and swimming experience levels using a prescribed routine and curriculum.  Assists in implementing various aquatics competitions throughout the year.  Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties including answering phone, picking up supplies needed for activities, conducting classes, collecting fees, setting up classes, events, and so forth.  Responds to public inquiries about aquatics programs.  Required certifications include WSI, Advanced Lifesaving, CPR and First Aid.  Training is available from the Aquatic Center staff.  Hours and workdays vary and include holidays, weekdays and weekends.  High School or College transcript required.  Interested persons may contact the Missouri Career Center, 2105 E. Police Officer

Kirksville, Missouri - Population 17,304 - Salary Range: $27,520- $30,073 annually plus overtime, shift differential, holiday compensation and excellent benefits.  Duties include patrolling community, issuing tickets for traffic violations, investigations, and related law enforcement activities.  Apply at the Missouri Career Center located at 2105 E. Umpire

The Parks & Recreation department is hiring knowledgeable persons to umpire baseball and softball games for the 2008 season. Hours vary according to game schedules. Salary varies according to training requirements and league level. Program begins Memorial weekend and runs through August.
