Into the Woods

Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed musical “Into the Woods,” is coming to Kirksville on Friday, July 11, Saturday, July 12, and Sunday, July 13, 2008 presented by Kirksville Parks and Recreation. It is the first full length musical to be performed at the Rotary Park Amphitheatre located at the intersection of HWY. 63 and New St., down the hill from the Aquatic Center. The performance will begin each evening at 8:00 p.m., and admission is FREE.

Journey along as four people make their way into the woods to fulfill their wishes in a funny display of mistakes, bargains, and more. As they will quickly discover, everything has a price, everyone must pay in turn, and their “happily ever after” is not at all what they expected.

Advanced seating will be offered.  To reserve a premium seat you may bring your lawn chars between 2pm-and 4pm.  Cost for early seating is $1.   At 4pm lawn chairs may be placed without a fee. Concessions will be provided by the Thousand Hills Rotary Club. Proceeds will go to Rotary Park improvements.
