Building & Remodeling Information
The City of Kirksville has adopted the International Code Council’s (ICC's) array of building and property maintenance codes. We currently operate under the 2003 version of that code. In the first half of 2009, we plan to adopt the 2009 version of ICC’s code. This includes the International Building Code, International Fire Code, International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, and others.
General information on Kirksville’s Building Code Guidelines is available in a booklet at city hall, or from the link below. This brochure covers: Building/Remodeling Construction, Building permits, Remodeling permits, Demolition permits, Rezoning, and Subdivision plats. Permit fees are also addressed in this brochure.
