Building & Remodeling Information
The City of Kirksville has adopted the International Code Council’s (ICC's) array of building and property maintenance codes. We currently operate under the 2009 version of that code. This includes the International Building Code, International Fire Code, International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, and others. We currently operate under the 2008 National Electrical Code (International Code Series).
General information on Kirksville’s Building Code Guidelines is available in a booklet at city hall, or from the link below. This brochure covers: Building/Remodeling Construction, Building permits, Remodeling permits, Demolition permits, Rezoning, and Subdivision plats. Permit fees are also addressed in this brochure.
