Public Works Director
Kirksville, MO (pop. 17,505) located in northeast Missouri. The Director is responsible for the overall management of Public Works including engineering, fleet management, streets/park maintenance, stormwater, transportation, water and wastewater utilities. This position requires an established leader who can effectively carry out the following: supervision/staff development for a staff of 52; development/implementation and evaluation of long and short-term goals including facility plans; development/management of relevant budgets; compliance with local, state and federal regulations; and serves as department liaison. The Director must possess excellent communication skills as well as practical problem solving and sound decision making skills. Preferred qualifications include eight years in the public works field with five years in progressively responsible supervisory roles and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, public administration or other relevant field. Salary negotiable.

Airport Director
Population 17,505 - The Kirksville Regional Airport located just 4 miles south of the city supports both commercial and general aviation services. The Director is responsible for daily operations of the airport including compliance with FAA Part 139 regulations and supporting TSA standards. Kirksville is an essential air service community and works closely with the community and commercial carrier to promote the air service. The airport serves as a vital economic development amenity for the region. Graduation from an accredited college or university with major in Aviation Administration or a closely related field preferred and five years of airport management or related supervisory/management experience is preferred. Salary range $49,493 - $59,283 and excellent benefit package.
