The Aquatic Center offers a full array of American Red Cross Training. 

To register for a CPR training class, contact our office at 660.627.1485 or e-mail Robin Harden at  Please register at least 1 week prior to the class start date. 

Adult CPR/AED 
1st and 3rd Thursday of each month
9:00 am : Full Course - $60, Re-certification Course - $40

Add pediatric skills to this course for $10.

First Aid Training
First Aid may be added to any training course for $20.

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers 
2nd Thursday of each month 
9:00 am: Full Course - $90, Re-certification Course - $60

If any of the scheduled class times do not fit your schedule we will be glad to hold a class that meets your needs for an additional $20 fee, pending instructor availability.  If you are looking for a course not listed, contact us to set up your special training time; our instructors can teach any American Red Cross course.

Lifeguard Training

The 2019 Lifeguard training dates are to be determined.

Course Prerequisites:  15 years of age by the first course meeting date, 300 yard swim (using combination of front crawl and breast stroke), brick retrieval (timed test), and treading water (minimum of 2 minutes).  If participants cannot complete the prerequisites they will not be permitted to continue in the class.

Please note- if you are interested in working at the Kirksville Aquatic Center please apply and complete the hiring process before registering for a lifeguard training course.  Completion of the lifeguard training program does not guarantee employment.   To apply to work as a lifeguard for the City of Kirksville please email Robin Harden at
