BALL FIELD CANCELLATION INFORMATION

(Kirksville, MO) – The City of Kirksville offers a variety of ways for citizens to stay informed about ball field cancellations. During inclement weather, the Parks and Recreation Department may have to close ball fields due to wet field conditions. This decision is made by 4 p.m. each day. If it is necessary to close the fields, Parks and Recreation Staff make every effort to inform citizens of this closure. There are three easy ways to find out about closures:

• Receive text and/or email messages sent directly to your cell phone or email account, as soon as they are available, when you sign up for the TextCaster notification service. To sign up for this service, please visit the City’s web site, www.kirksvillecity.com and click on the “Notification and Newsletters” button on the main page. Then follow the directions at the bottom of the screen to sign up for text messages and/or emails.
• Visit www.kirksvillecity.com - all ball field closures are posted to the main page of the City’s web site as soon as a decision has been made.
• Call the cancellation hotline at 660-627-1480 for the latest information about ball field closures.
