STORM WATER SOLUTIONS TO BE DISCUSSED AT PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE

Kirksville residents and property owners are invited to attend one of two upcoming open house events to learn about the proposed design solutions to City storm water issues for areas identified in the Storm Water Substantial Plan Report that was accepted by the City Council last fall. These areas are:

1) Floyd Creek (FC-2) Suburban-Monte Carlo
2) Steer Creek (SC-2) Lewis & Harrison
3) Steer Creek (SC-2) Lincoln & Normal
4) Bear Creek (BC-10) Normal Avenue
5) Steer Creek (SC-3) Pintail and Gadwell
6) Steer Creek (SC-3) Greenway and Canvasback

The open house will take place on two dates to accommodate busy schedules. The events will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Telecommunications Community Resource Center (TCRC), located at 315 S. Franklin St. on Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 22. The purpose of the meetings is to receive feedback from the general public and property owners.

The meetings will give the general public and property owners a chance to visit with the Engineers and City Staff regarding the Engineer’s proposed solutions before the final design is completed; and to review exhibits prepared by the Engineer.
