There are numerous codes on the topic of trees. Whether you plant, remove, maintain trees or otherwise, we specify rules for each in the City Code on trees. For instance in Sec. 32-334 we explain what actions require a permit such as planting a mature tree or removing trees on city property. Most of these sections explain the City's rights and restrictions for trees on City property like parks and City right-of-way. There are a few which regulate trees on private property, such as Sec. 32-335 which lists the few reasons why a tree must be removed.
