The City of Kirksville, Missouri, will accept sealed bids for the furnishing of one 2015, or current model, John Deere 6115 M, or approved equivalent , 4-Wheel Drive Tractor with Alamo Boom Mower attachment until 3:00 PM, Tuesday, February 10, 2015; at which time they shall be opened and publicly read. All bids must be submitted on the blank forms furnished. Proposals that contain any irregularities of any kind may be rejected as unresponsive. No proposal will be considered unless properly signed by the bidder or his legally authorized agent or representative, with address and phone number given in the correct spaces provided.
By action of the City Council, the municipal purchasing officers are encouraged to select products manufactured, assembled or produced in the United States, if the quality and price are comparable with other goods. The City of Kirksville does not discriminate in its decisions on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or on any other basis that would be in violation of any applicable federal, state or local law.
All bids must be F. O. B. Kirksville, Missouri. The City of Kirksville, Missouri, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder for the selected alternative or base bid. In evaluating the bids offered to the City, the following three conditions will be considered: 1) Overall price, 2)meeting of specifications, and 3) parts, service and warranty, travel time must be included. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past.
All proposals are to be addressed to the City Clerk, City Hall, 201 South Franklin Street, Kirksville MO 63501; and plainly marked on the lower left corner of the sealed envelope - SEALED BID – R322 – BOOM MOWER. Any bids received after the designated time of the announced bid opening shall be refused and returned unopened to Bidder.
The vehicle proposed for trade-in as part of the bid can be inspected until noon on Monday, February 02, 2015 at the Charles I Krueger Memorial Public Services Complex, 2001 North Osteopathy Avenue.
