The City of Kirksville will accept sealed bids for furnishing various sized tires as described herein, until 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 16, 2015; All bids are to be submitted on the City's form, click link (Bid Form) with the period for this contract and pricing good June 16, 2015 through June 16, 2016. All bids shall be addressed to the City Clerk, City Hall, 201 S. Franklin Street, Kirksville, MO 63501, and plainly marked on the lower left corner of the sealed envelope as “Sealed Bid – Tires.”
All bids must be F.O.B. Kirksville, Missouri. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any or all technicalities. Award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. In evaluating the bids offered to the City, the following conditions will be considered: 1) Overall Price; 2) Meeting of the Specification; 3) Service; and 4) Quality and tread life. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The City has a 2½% local preference policy.
Facility will be able to repair and/or replace all tires larger than 17-inch. Prices for mounting and balancing tires over 17-inch will be included in bid. Disposal price per tire will be included in the bid. All tire work performed within bidder’s shop shall be performed and completed with three hours of delivery of vehicle or wheel. Quantities shown are estimated based upon anticipated usage and wear. The City of Kirksville reserves the right to amend these quantities as necessary and in the best interest of the City. Bidder shall be bound by the unit prices bid regardless of quantity ordered, delivered, installed or serviced. Upon award of this bid, delivery of tires and performance of services shall commence on June 16, 2015, upon due notification from the City of Kirksville.
