The City of Kirksville, Missouri, is accepting sealed bids for 800 ton Rock Salt until 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the office of the City Clerk, 201 South Franklin Street, Kirksville, Missouri 63501, at which time they shall be opened and read aloud. Bids must be plainly marked in the lower left corner of the envelope: Sealed Bid: Rock Salt.
Salt is to be delivered on demand in lots of 20 to 25 tons per load. All deliveries are to be made between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only. The City of Kirksville reserves the right to confirm the weight of any load by requiring the delivery truck to drive across a local scale of the City's choice. Cost of such confirmation will be paid by the City of Kirksville. The contract to be awarded is non-exclusive. All bids shall be F.O.B. Kirksville, Missouri.
The City of Kirksville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities and/ or formalities as deemed appropriate in the sole discretion of Owner, and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non responsive or conditional Bids. Discrepancies between words and figures will be resolved in favor of words. Discrepancies between the indicated sum of any column of figures and the correct sum thereof will be resolved in favor of the correct sum.
