Employee Benefits
The Human Resources Department administers a wide range of benefits for full-time employees, including:
- Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance – The City pays 100% of the premium for single coverage and 50% of the premium for dependent coverage. Employee cost for dependent coverage depends on the plan selected.
- Life Insurance – Provided at no cost, in an amount equal to the employee's annual salary.
- Retirement – Coverage through the Local Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) and Social Security, plus optional participation in the ICMA-RC 457 plan.
- Paid Leave & Holidays – Offered to full-time employees. Specifics vary by position; details are provided at time of offer.
